Careful work for a dog that struggles.
Small, controlled desensitisation for mildly reactive dogs, in groups of no more than three, arranged personally with Diane.
This one's never booked online.
Reactive work depends on arena availability and has to be set up safely, so it's arranged directly with Diane, never through an online form. Call us and we'll plan it together.
For a dog that finds the world a lot.
- •Your dog is leash-reactive, nervous, or struggles around other dogs.
- •You've been told elsewhere to just "manage it" and want real, careful work instead.
- •You're willing to go at your dog's pace, in very small groups.
We won't shame you for adopting a reactive dog, and we won't promise to rehabilitate every dog. We'll be straight with you about what's possible.
Where we have to draw the line.
A dog that has shown reactivity or aggression toward people, or that can't be safely approached, can't be assessed or come onto the property. That's Vitozol's rule, and it keeps everyone safe.
Dog-to-dog reactivity we can often work with. Human aggression we can't, but we'll point you to a behaviourist who can, and we'll stay in touch alongside their work.
Small, safe, and gradual.
No more than three dogs per session, so there's always safe distance. Dogs stay in your vehicle until the lesson starts, and we ask you not to park next to other cars, to keep loading and unloading calm.
When a behaviourist is involved, returning to group work needs three things: their ongoing guidance, their consent to return, and their confirmation that the dog is no danger to other dogs or people. We don't make that call on our own.
To get started.
- •A phone call to Diane to arrange it. There's no online booking for reactive work.
- •Arena rental paid in advance.
- •The shared baseline: up-to-date vaccinations, deworming and tick & flea, and your usual kit.
R600 plus arena rental.
A R600 training fee, plus the arena rental split between up to three handlers (or the full rental if it's just your dog). The arena is paid in advance.
A few quick questions.
Why can't I book online?
Reactive sessions depend on arena availability and have to be set up safely, so Diane arranges each one personally.
My dog has lunged at people. Can you help?
Not on the property, because of Vitozol's safety rule, but we'll refer you to a behaviourist who works with human reactivity or aggression.
Do you work with my behaviourist?
Yes, alongside them, and a return to group work needs their guidance, their consent, and their all-clear that the dog is safe.
Call Diane and we'll plan it together.
Tell us about your dog and we'll set up something safe.
Reactive enquiries are arranged by phone, never booked online.
